Description:
Architecture and landscape sketches showing ten views of rock-carved tombs at Petra, and a rocky mountainside. Along the left margin, the facades of three rectangular tombs are visible--the lowest of which includes two columns and a pediment. Two other columns are shown at lower center, while three views of dark portals in the cliffsides are visible at center and upper center. At far right, separated by double dividing lines, a steep and craggy mountainside is a loosely sketched continuation of the view in 1917-4-487.
Verso: Architecture and figure sketches showing, at upper left, two views of the upper stories of two houses (copied from photographs), and a man shouldering a fishing rod, viewed from behind at upper center.
