Landscape sketch showing a view of the acropolis at Cornith, Greece, also known as the Acrocorinth, as seen from the sea. At center left, the rocky prominence is rounded in shape and forms the peak of a small ridge, which descends gently to the right. Foreground is indistinct, likely seawater.
Verso: Landscapes sketches showing three separate views of coastal mountains and cliffs around the Aegean Sea near Greece, as seen from the water. At left and oriented to the left, a view of a rugged, cliff-strewn coastline near Cephalonia is shown. At upper right, a rocky coastline with a mountain in the background is visible, while below, sharp mountain peaks rise from behind a ridge.
