Description:
Architecture and landscape sketch showing a view of the domes of St. Peter's Basilica with a separate grove of trees. At center, the primary dome of the St. Peter's is promintently featured with some of the columns and niches around its base loosely articulated. Likely viewed from the north, another, ancillary dome is shown at left. At right, a grove of trees on flat terrain is shown oriented to the right.
Verso: Mixed sketches of festive decorations and a figure in Rome, Italy. In upper portion, two balconies are shown covered in draped cloth; at center, two banners hang out of windows; at right, a woman is shown from behind; and below, an indistinct design that might be two mugs of beer is included.
