Description:
Recto: St. Barbara kneels in the foreground, center. Dioscorus, her father,
stands behind her and to the right. He lifts her hair with his left hand and
raises a sword with his right. In the background are spectators behind a
balustrade and a house at left. A fire burns beyond.
Verso: Indistinct sketch, perhaps indicating a painting framed by an
architectural surround, possibly a chapel wall. There is an arch at the top
and a rectangular, altar-like structure at the bottom center.
