The body of Christ, center, is carried toward the tomb in the hillside, right. His Mother, who has fainted, is seen in foreground, left. A woman, right, holds a jar bearing the inscription: "J.B. Jackson/Delin Sculp and / excudit 1739." Inscription in margin below: "Insignam hanc Tabulam Jacobo de Ponte depictam..."
