Biographical History:
Louis Lamy Ray, a geologist, was educated at Washington University (A. B., 1930 and M. S., 1932) and Harvard University (M. A., 1937 and Ph. D., 1938). Most of his professional career was spent as a Geologist with the United States Geological Survey. During 1936 and 1937, Ray participated in a Bureau of American Ethnology (BAE) excavation of Folsom Man artifacts at the Smithsonian Institution Lindenmeier site in Northern Colorado. He died in Washington, D. C., on July 7, 1975.
