Biographical History:
Grace E. Pickford (1902-1986) primarily studied ichthyology and endocrinology. She was born in Bournemouth, England in 1902, and went on to earn a degree from Cambridge University in natural sciences and Ph.D. from Yale University. She was a traveling scholar of Newnham College, Cambridge in South Africa, from 1925-1927. From 1934 to 1948 she was Assistant Professor at Albertus Magnus College. She eventually joined the biology faculty of Yale University, where she remained until her retirement in 1970.
