Biographical History:
Robert L. DeLong was born in 1942. He received his B.S. in Wildlife Conservation from Purdue University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Wildland Resource Science from the University of California, Berkeley. DeLong conducted research with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program, and established the San Miguel Research Station for pinniped biology. He is currently the Program Leader of the National Marine Mammal Laboratory’s California Current Ecosystem Program.
