This round pinback button featuring Rosie the Riveter advocated for the organization of women workers. The pin reads “A Woman’s Place is… In Her Union”, slogan that served as theme for the first biennial convention of the Coalition of Labor Union Women in 1979.
The button is among more than 200 collected by longtime Anacostia resident and social justice advocate Howard Croft.
