This round pinback button from the 2000 presidential preference primary elections, supported candidates Gore, Occhetti and Meadows. Aimee Occhetti and David Meadows were seeking a seat as delegates from the District of Columbia in the Democratic National Convention. Al Gore was ultimately elected as the Democratic presidential nominee but was defeated by Republican George W. Bush.
The button is among more than 200 collected by longtime Anacostia resident and social justice advocate Howard Croft.
