This round pinback button expressed support for Bostonian Mel King's campaign for US Congress in 1986. The pin features white lettering against a half red and half blue background. King run in the Democratic primary to represent his district in Congress, after serving as member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1973 until 1982.
The button is among more than 200 collected by Washington, DC-based environmental justice advocate Vernice Miller-Travis.
