This round pinback button supported Jesse Jackson's 1984 presidential campaign. The pin features a black and white photographic portrait of Jackson at the center, surrounded by golden lettering that reads "Jesse Jackson / for President in '84", all against a red, white, and blue resin background.
The button is among more than 200 collected by Washington, DC-based environmental justice advocate Vernice Miller-Travis.
