Collected by Reverend William Washington Bolton (1858-1946, a noted academic and explorer of Western Canada) between 1885 and 1886 when he was posted to Moosomin, Saskatchewan, as a missionary; given or transferred to his brother Reginald Pelham Bolton (1856-1942, a New York City civil engineer, amateur archaeologist, and historian) at an unknown date; donated to MAI by Reginald Pelham Bolton in 1918.
