Collection History:
Collected or excavated in 1892 or 1893 by Charles McLoyd (1851-1913) and Charles Cary Graham (C. C. Graham, 1854-1940); sold to John A. Koontz (1832-1910), a local landowner, circa 1894; sold to B. Talbot B. Hyde (1872-1933) and his brother Frederick E. Hyde, Jr. (1874-1944) circa 1895; donated to the American Museum of Natural History (New York City) by the Hyde brothers; withdrawn from the AMNH collection by B. Talbot B. Hyde in August 1909 and lent to the University of Pennsylvania Museum (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) in conjunction with the George Heye collection there; purchased by George Heye from B. Talbot B. Hyde in February 1916 using funds donated by Thea (Mrs. George) Heye.
