Made while the artist was an instructor at Lummi carving apprenticeship program at the Whatcom Museum of History and Art (Bellingham, Washington); purchased by Indian Arts and Crafts Board representatives from the artist in 1970; part of the IACB Headquarters collection (Department of the Interior, Washington, DC) until 2000 when it was transferred to NMAI.
