Probably collected by Reverend George Biller (1874-1915, an Episcopal minister who was also the Bishop of South Dakota from 1912 to 1915) or his wife Edna Peninger Biller (1879-1952) when they served on the Rosebud Reservation between 1908 and 1912; probably given by Edna Biller to her sister-in-law Kate Murial Biller Jones (1887-1972) and her husband, Reverend Frank Richard Jones (1876-1948), at an unknown date; inherited by Richard Gordon Taggart (1928-1997, a grandson of Kate and Richard Jones); donated to NMAI by Richard G. Taggart and his wife Doris Cyphers Taggart (1927-1997) in 1992.
