Given to Helen Pep Grodka (1898-1982, an artist and Native American art enthusiast) by a Navajo friend named Deyah on the Mohawk Trail in Charlemont, Massachusetts, in 1964; donated to MAI in 1982 by Helen Pep Grodka's daughter and son-in-law, Sonia Grodka Blumenthal and Harry W. Blumenthal (1924-2013).
