Said to have been owned by Chief Shakes (probably Gush Tlein, Chief Shakes VI, who held the title Chief Shakes from 1878 until his passing in 1916) and acquired from members of the Shakes family by Judge Nathan Bijur (1862-1930), probably between 1905 and 1910; inherited by his widow Lilly Prochownick Bijur (1867-1944) and son Harry Ash Bijur (1887-1972); purchased by MAI from Harry Bijur in 1965.
