Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Reverend Charles Lemon Hall (1847-1940, a missionary at Fort Berthold, North Dakota, from 1876 to about 1930; given by Reverend Hall to Mary Buell Riggs (Mrs. Alfred L. Riggs, 1839-1927), whose husband ran the Santee Normal Training School (Santee, Nebraska); purchased by MAI from Mary B. Riggs in 1925.
