Letter from Samuel Wagstaff, of the Wadsworth Atheneum asking sculptor David Smith to come to Hartford, Conn. to talk about the upcoming project of the new Boston City Hall. <br>Smith's reply is hand written in the margin: No Sam- I do not like to go places and I've got too much work to do and I have no ovilgation to Hartford. Greetings, David S. It even ended up in costing me money to exhibit with Wadsworth. I cant afford it.
