Shows Pollock bent on one knee leaning over a painting on the floor of his barn studio in Springs, N.Y. <br>Photo was previously attributed to Wilfrid Zogbaum. Attribution to Herbert Matter and date of photograph are based on information from art historian Ellen Landau, who found this image on a contact sheet of photos by Matter (see: Landau, Ellen G., Sidney Mishkin Gallery, Guild Hall of East Hampton, and Figge Art Museum. Mercedes Matter. 1st ed. New York, N.Y: MB Art Publishing, 2009, p. 38).
