Summary:
Recordings have background noise. Recording on Tape 01 stops and starts, and has low level of sound. Portions of recording are difficult to hear. Myron Schwartzman interviews Romare Bearden. Discussion topics are wide-ranging and include Bearden's artwork and its subject matter. Also discussed are various friends of Bearden in the 1930s and 1940s, Samuel Kootz Gallery, artists' use of colors, and Stuart Davis as an artist and writer.
