Recordings stop and start. Tapes 01-02, 04 consistent hum in recordings. Tape 02, Side 01 and Side 02 loud squeaking in beginning of tape. Tape 05, Side 01 content primarily in left channel; recording ends at 00:19:57. Tape 05, Side 02 is blank. Tape 06, Side 01 first thirty minutes content primarily in left channel; recording made of phone calls. Low levels final fifteen minutes of tape, recording made at a restaurant. Tape 06, Side 02 low levels; tape hiss throughout recording, discussion difficult to follow. Tape 01, Side 01 discussion with an unnamed man 00:00:00-00:01:57, different from unnamed man on Tape 03 and Tape 06. Discussion topics are wide-ranging and include a food event at a gallery in New York City organized by Martha Steward Living, contemporary art world, running a gallery and relationships between artists and gallery owners.
