Summary:
Francis Davis Millet recounts his experiences as Assistant Contract Surgeon attached to the U.S. Army, stationed in the 60th Massachusetts Volunteers at Camp Burnside, Indianapolis, Indiana. <br>Diary consists of four small booklets, each labeled by Millet with "Civil War diary" and a volume number. The dates of each booklet are: May 12 to May 25, 1864; May 29 to Jul. 11, 1864; Oct. 20 to Nov. 29, 1864; and Apr. 9 to May 30, 1865.
