Summary:
Medal designed by Jules-Clément Chaplain. <br>One side features a design of a woman's head in profile. Behind her head is a tree, one branch of which grows along the side of her head in the style of a laurel wreath. In relief around the edge are the words "Republique Francaise."<br>The other side of the medal features a design of a man holding a torch being carried on the shoulder of an angel. Around the edge are the words "Exposition Universelle Internationale" and "H.O. Tanner."
