Biography Note:
The Puchong Gallery was founded in New York, New York, in the early 1980s by Melvin Dennis, Puchong Chongvanich, Tom Stetz, and David Schlesinger. The gallery specialized in fine-art photography, but also held shows of xerox art, computer-generated art, and artwork executed in various styles of photographic printing.
The gallery was located in the front of Saint Marks Foto/Grafik, a photography shop managed by Chongvanich. Artists who exhibited at the gallery include David Moore, Susan Kravitz, Anita Chernewski, Michael Collins, Marcia C. Sheer, Emily Rhys Davis, and Chongvanich himself. The gallery's founders also published Puchong Portfolios , a publication about fine art photography.
