Summary:
The papers of still life and portrait painter Aimée Lamb measure 1.1 linear feet and date from 1888 to 1991. Found are scattered biographial material, correspondence, price lists, photographs of Lamb and of works of art, printed material, a dismantled scrapbook, sketches and twelve sketchbooks.

Letters from Celia Thaxter to Horace Lamb are photocopies. The originals letters are in the Houghton Library Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Biography Note:
Aimée Lamb (1893-1989) was a floral still-life and portrait painter in Boston, Massachusetts. Lamb studied at the School of Fine Arts in Boston under Philip Hale and William James. She exhibited her works throughout Massachusetts and the Northeast.

Provenance:
Edward Stone, the husband of Lamb's cousin, Cassandra and executor of the Aimée Lamb estate donated the papers to the Archives of American Art in 1993.
