Biography Note:
Painter Jan Cox lived in Belgium and Holland from 1919 to 1949. For the next twenty years he worked and exhibited in the United States . For part of this period he taught at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In 1969, he returned to Belgium, where he remained for the rest of his life. Cox was involved in the Jeune Peinture Belge and COBRA.
