Summary:
The papers of painter, lithographer, and muralist Joseph Vogel date from 1931 to 1964. The collection consists of photographs of Vogel's work done for the Works Progress Administration, Federal Art Project in New York City, New York. Also found are photos of additional Vogel works, as well as a clipping and an exhibition announcement.

Biography Note:
Joseph Vogel (1911-1995) was a lithographer and muralist in New York City, New York. Born in Austria, Vogel's family lived in Poland before settling in New York in the 1920s, where he studied at the Art Students League. He produced murals in the mid 1930s for the Temporary Emergency Relief Administration and later the Works Progress Administration, Federal Art Project.
