Biography Note:
Arthur Ames (1906-1975) and Jean Goodwin Ames (1903-1986) were painters and enamel artists in California. Jean Goodwin Ames was also an educator and taught at Scripps College and the Claremont Graduate School, where she was honored with the title professor emerita.
