Letters collected by Hammer for a planned biography of painter Miles Evergood, including letters from Philip and Miles Evergood to various people, undated, and 1938-1971, and a letter, 1983, to Hammer from Alan McCulloch, author of the Encyclopedia of Australian Art, regarding the reproduction of Miles Evergood's painting "Brisbane River."

Biography Note:
Gael Hammer is the grand-niece of painter Miles Evergood (neƩ Blashki). She lives in New South Wales, Australia. Philip Evergood, Miles' son, was a leading realist painter in the U.S. The family is of Polish-Australian descent, and changed the last name from Blashki to Evergood when they came to the U.S..
