Summary:
The papers of portrait painter Amaylia Castaldo measure 0.3 linear feet and date from circa 1930 to 1970. Found are a resume and 54 photographs of portraits painted between 1931 and 1970 by Castaldo. Many are labeled and depict children. Of note is a clipping of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. posting with their daughter's portrait painted by Castaldo.

Biography Note:
Amaylia Castaldo (1906-1987) was a portrait painter active in New York City and Chicago, Illinois. Castaldo studied at the Art Students League, the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, and privately with Leon Kroll. She was married to painter Paul Trebilcock.
