Correspondence with Eilshemius regarding sales of his paintings; letters to Zimbalist's daughter Jane; copied pencil drawings of people, two hand rendered maps of France and Switzerland and class notes (in German) created when Eilshemius was a school boy in Europe. Printed material includes pamplets and poetry written and published by Eilshemius, inscribed to Jane; and clippings about his life and work.

Biography Note:
Zimbalist was a poet and friend of Eilshemius. She also handled sales of his smaller works, selling them for between 5 and 40 dollars, and not profiting from the sales. Her daughter, Jane, was an aspiring poet and friend to Eilshemius. Eilshemius was a painter, composer, mathematician, writer; New York, N.Y.
Donated by Syracuse University, who received the papers from Marguerite Harris (nee Zimbalist).
