Summary:
36 sketches, including 20 bound ink and pencil drawings by Sonntag, many of them titled, signed, and dated. Sketches are landscape views of White Mountain scenery near Shelburne, N.H., where Sonntag summered for much of his life. Other bound pencil drawings in the sketchbook are by a decidedly amateur hand and signed "J H Lauder Aug. 1935." Tucked in the front of the sketchbook are 15 loose pencil drawings of coastal views by an unidentified amateur artist, perhaps by Phil H. Holmes of Gardenia, Maine.
