Scope and Contents:
Outdoor portrait of the Algonquin woman, Mrs. Jako or Mrs. Benjamin Jako, or Mrs. George Thoma or Thomas. She wears a cotton blouse, head scarf, and is posed in front of a log structure with a small girl in plaid cotton dress on Barrière Lake (Lac-Barrière), Quebec. It's possible that she may not originally have been from Barriere Lake.
