Scope and Contents:
An Innu man gathering capelin or caplin (Mallotus villosus, a small fish of the smelt family), in a metal tub with handles. The fish probably have been stranded after spawning, and are used as dog food in the winter. Wooden structures and electrical poles on the rise above the beach near the Uashat-Maliotenam reserve, Sept-Îles, Quebec.
