Scope and Contents:
Industrial Design Affiliates (IDA) specialized in designing and developing products for mass production. Stansbury worked at IDA from 1969-1973 where he was the general manager and creative director. The materials include information about employee/personnel matters such as vacation policies, performance reviews, orientation procedures, leave of absence, overtime, equipment use and personal notes belonging to Stansbury. The personal notes relate to Stansbury's future with IDA, with emphasis on Stansbury's salary, bonus, and profit sharing with the company. Also, Stansbury details in his notes the pros and cons of working for IDA versus working for himself. In 1973, Stansbury would form The Stansbury Company and begin working for himself.
