Volume 15 is a bound scrapbook with numbered pages and an index, and some handwritten notes. The volume consists of newspaper clippings, architectural drawings and illustrations, and hand written notes.
This volume is primarily about construction. There are advertisements for new inventions, building materials, and construction methods as well as building material price lists. Some of the construction projects relate to the expansion of Washington, D.C., the Pension Building, new monuments and new mansions from around the United States and the world. There are some illustrations of construction plans, especially for the Pension Building in Washington, D.C. Meigs included newspaper illustrations of notable construction projects and new buildings and monuments from around the world. Advertisements for personal yacht designs and their benefits/features are also found here.
