Scope and Contents:
Comprise of individuals who are considered prevalent in society during their time. Such icons include the Canadian born Dionne quintuplets Yvonne Édouilda Marie Dionne, Annette Lillianne Marie Allard, Cécile Marie Émilda Langlois, Émilie Marie Jeanne Dionne, and Marie Reine Alma Houle who were born in 1934. At the time of their birth they were the first quintuplets known to have survived infancy. The 1960s is represented by the English born model Twiggy (Lesley Hornby). Martha Stewart, the American retail businesswoman, writer, and television personality, who gained success in the 1980s with her cookbook continues to be a cultural icon. Other cultural icons whose presences has spanned many decades include Miss America and Miss World. Materials are arranged in alphabetical order.
