Type:
Archival materials
Date:
1946-1989, undated
Scope and Contents:
Consists of Mair's freelance artwork primarily for small local companies, non-profit organizations, educational programs, civil groups, and friends. This contrasted with Landor clients, which typically were larger American and foreign corporations. Major clients included Decorative Imports [Krusi]; Excalibur Technologies; Mark V., International; North America Country Inns; and Oakville Vineyards. Materials often included correspondence with the artwork. In the absence of a definitive list it was sometimes difficult to distinguish between Mair's clients and the clients of Landor Associates. Researchers should also consult Series 2, Subseries 7. Materials are arranged first in alphabetical order by the name of the company. If the company name was not available, the product name was used instead. This group of material is followed by artwork by subject and that which is neonly identified by a number. Unidentified artwork is at the end.
