This series consists primarily of images of theaters and of theater programs presenting plays, musicals, operas, minstrel shows and vaudeville acts. There are about 315 theaters listed, of which ca. 115 in New York City and ca. 35 in Boston, Massachusetts. The listing includes opera houses, music halls and entertainment halls.
