16mm black and white composite optical track print, 620 feet. Promotional film showing the process of creating a greeting card from its inception to its shipment out of the factory. The film begins with a boy, Jimmy, going into a store to buy a birthday card for his mother. Nancy, the new sales representative helps him find a card while Mr. Johnson, the store owner, discusses why his small shop is better than a large, department store shop. Johnson is also a card collector and he leads the viewer through a history of greetings cards prior to modern times. The viewer learns that in 1906 Fred Rust created his first greeting card in his book shop. Fred and his brother Dan have set high standards in greeting cards. The film then shows the process of making a Rustcraft card, from inception to shipment all over the world.
