The major airlines that were authorized to provide interstate service by the Civil Aeronautics Act of 1938. Davies included: American, Braniff, Capital, Continental, Delta, Eastern, National, Northeast, Northwest, Pan American, Panagra, TWA (Transcontinental and Western/ Trans World Airlines), United, and Western.
