The photographs in this subseries are arranged according to three basic groups:
1. Smithsonian photographs as identified by a Smithsonian Institution (SI) stamp and/or negative number. 2. Non-SI photographs identified by origin, such as "Aero Digest" or "from the collection of (_____)." 3. Photographs with no identification as to origin, that is, those with no identifying marks.
