Date:
ca 1867-69
Scope and Contents:
Seated in studio. Native dress.
Biographical / Historical:
Photographer: C. W. Carter, Carter's View Emporium, East Temple Street, Salt Lake City or E. L. Eaton, 238 Farnham Street, Omaha, Nebraska; or C. R. Savage, Pioneer Art Gallery, East Temple Street, Salt Lake City. Reasons for suggested date: Original is a carte de visite, popular in 1860's; Nebraska became a state in March, 1867; at least one carte de visite bearing Eaton's imprint is the same as a photo copied by Shindler, Washington, D. C., 1869.
