Two are indentified as drawn by Sampson Kelly, Cheyenne, and others are signed by Carl Sweezy, Arapaho. Cover inscribed "Cheyenne Shields No. 1" and "From Picture Book Captured at Mackenzie Fight 1876, Field Columbian Museum, Chicago, Drawn by Carl Sweezy, 1904"
