This series documents Ann Dunham's professional work, primarily as a consultant on projects related to microcredit, women in development, and rural industries. Dated from 1974-1994, the materials include correspondence, reports, memos, research proposals, case studies, surveys, publications, clippings, lectures, manuals, drawings, and some photographs.
The bulk of the materials relate to Dunham's work at the Ford Foundation as Program Officer for Women and Employment in Jakarta from 1981-1984. Her work with the Provincial Development Program in the Indonesian Department of Industries, a consultancy in Pakistan, her work at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), and at Women's World Banking are represented to a lesser degree. Also included are lectures Dunham gave in work-related situations and to academic and cultural organizations from 1980-1989.
