Footage of anthropologist Aleš Hrdlička excavating on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Shots of bay as boat approaches island. Shots of Hrdlička excavating in an area covered with waist high plants. Woman wearing mosquito netting hat is behind him and she too digs at one point. This sequence shows what looks like a square slab of stone on the ground. Man hands something to Hrdlicka to examine. A boy is also shown in one shot behind the woman who is near Hrdlicka. One shot of a skull. Film ends with shots of dog swimming.
