Manuscript on recto lower corner right reads: ''2ième''. View of the harbor with two sailing boats in the foreground, city's buildings in the background.
Manuscript on verso reads: "...et nous irons la retrouver quand les hostilités seront terminées - Nous espérons pour le printemps Dieu le voudra j'espère que ce soit finie - elle va très bien maintenant, plus de maux de tête elle a grossie de 10 kilos en 4 mois- Ma mère est avec elle qui également à une très belle santé malgré ses 79 ans qu'elle porte bien légèrement- elle a un caractère très ferme c'est une petite vieille bien épatante - mon mari a toujours ses occupations comme il s'ennuit de sa fille c'est un grand sacrifice mais il le fallait - Donnez-moi bien vite de vos nouvelles et recevez ainsi qu'à Mr. Jean mon meilleur souvenir et de bons baisers." Translated verso reads: [... and we will go to see her when the hostilities will be over- We hope during the Spring if God will allow it - she is really well now, no more headaches she gained 6 pounds within four month - My mother is with her and she is in a great health despite the fact she is 79 year's old which she carries lightly - she has a strong temper: quite an amazing little old lady- my husband is still busy with his occupations but he misses his daughter - It was a big sacrifice however we had to do it- Send me soon some news and receive my best regards, without forgetting Mr. Jean and smacks.]
