Scope and Contents:
The photograph depicts Liberian masqueraders and musicians from the dance troupe of William Lewis. Mr. Lewis was at the time director of Folklore and Culture Affairs in the Liberian government. This photograph was taken by Eliot Elisofon while the dance troupe was on a tour of the U.S., in November 1971.
